So what should we do to protect our skin?

  • Simple skin care is the way!

Before the lockdown period, we believe that most of you must have been wearing mask all day when you’re at public area to protect yourself from the virus.

But this may result in lots of you having problems with the skin as your skin couldn’t breath properly. Redness and sensitive skin or even acne may occurred depending on your skin types and the time length of wearing the mask.

Especially for healthcare workers, it is tough for them to wear such long hours of mask which damages their skin severely.

As for normal people like you and me, it is a good timing to let your skin to recover. Of course, we are not encouraging you to put on all the expensive skin care you have, but, to let it recover naturally by just applying that the ones you need.

For example, picking less intensive types of skin care and avoid using strong moisturizing types of product (after the lockdown is over, if you need to wear your mask again, pick light skin care and reduce the usage of makeup as well!)

This will help you to reduce the overproduce of sebum resulting in pores to clog, resulting in acne popping out.

  • Do not skip essential skincare routine!

I know you must be one of the good babies to wash your hand often but do not forget cleansing your face properly is also relatively important!

Even when you are staying in door, your face will also have certain bacteria, oil and dirts, hence it is important to cleanse it thoroughly!

Besides, no matter you are staying in a air-conditioned nor hot sauna room, it is also important to keep your skin moisturized;

at the meantime, as you are using soap often, hence, it is important to keep your hand moisturize as well!

Lastly, unless you can be sure that you are not expose under sunlight at all, or else, minimal in door sunblock routine must be done as well!

  • Night time skin care routine!

Before your bed at night, you can consider using products that has recovery effect to help your skin to recover fast while strengthening your natural defence that helps to keep your skin protected during the day.

Most importantly, have more rest, drink more water and don’t stay up late at night! This will not just help your body to build up the immune system but also your skin to stay healthy!
